Earlier this year The Wife had relatively minor surgery (though really, all surgery is pretty major, I say) for the first time, and everything went fine and she did great. These are just a couple of sketches that were born out of conversations surrounding the event. First, I was kind of bummed that they wouldn't let me in during the procedure. I understood why, I just didn't want to leave her alone. I would promise not to interfere, I would just stand back in the corner and watch! (Voila.) And then afterward we were talking about her recovery and somehow the conversation turned to her watching TV in the bed and I wouldn't be allowed since she was the sickie and I would just have to sit on the dresser (where the TV usually sat) instead, which was a funny mental image.
