Going through my most recent sketchbook (which has taken me an embarrassingly long while to fill), I found a LOT of Rapunzel drawings, which makes sense, but which I'm trying to decide what to do with on here. Maybe a splat is in order. In any case, finding these has led me to realize two things: 1) For all the Tangled art I've done, the only ones I've ever posted on here are the coloring pages I did ([link] and [link]), and that's not even my lineart! Tsk. 2) I'm pretty sure this is the first drawing of Rapunzel and Flynn that I ever did! (I did them about a month before the movie was released.) That explains why they're a little off model, but I still like them.

TANGLED!

I'm not sure I remember/could find out which was my first drawing of Rapunzel... I wasn't putting dates on my drawings then...

I remember those days, and I still look back at them with regret. There was a period when I meticulously OVERdated everything, ha ha. It helped once I started actually using sketchbooks instead of loose sheets of paper.

I used loose sheets of paper a lot at first. Then I started using sketchbooks. The problem with my using sketchbooks is that I'll start drawing one thing in one corner of one page and then I'll draw on the next several pages, and then I'll go back and do more on the pages I didn't do much on, and then go do things on more blank pages, so just because a picture is on the same page as a few others doesn't necisserily mean it was drawn at the same time. I usually put a start-date on the cover of my sketchbooks, but... I like knowing exactly when I did individual pictures.

Yeah, I guess I hop around a little too sometimes, but at least they're close to around the same time, and sometimes I leave a page blank meaning to come back, and then I just don't, ha ha. I still usually put a date on each page, or at least each page that's the start of a new day of drawings.

I put a date in tiiiiny numbers on the corner of each drawing. Ink drawings... I don't bother with pencil, unless it's a really detailed pencil drawing. I like this system a lot. It makes me feel less guilty for page hopping, and makes it more likely that I'll acutally fill up more pages.

Yay for accountability and accuracy of chronicling arts!
