It's Sunday! Time for a Sunday-type post. I was thinking that I would like to have a picture of the temple hanging in our home, and then I saw an artist friend did an original piece of their local temple, so I thought, why not do the same? This is the Mt. Timpanogos Temple, located in American Fork, Utah, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up really close by, and I watched it as it was built from the ground up. I've always loved it, and when I was married there I loved it even more. I used a photo for reference to get all the details right, and drew and painted the entire thing in Flash, with some Photoshop effects added afterward.

Thanks! The bushes were actually kind of challenging to make presentable in the style I was using, so I'm glad they look okay.

I was raised in that area, but moved away to Wyoming in 2001. It's still probably my favorite temple and I'd like to get married there someday.
