Today my sister initiated a 30-day art challenge, and I thought I would join in the fun! I hope I can keep up... The Day 1 challenge was a self-portrait. (See the whole 30 days outlined here: [link]) I have drawn myself in the past, but it's fun to do an updated version. I meant to do a much quicker piece for this, but it ended up taking a little longer than I had planned (habits), but then I thought I could use it as a new ID too so it's okay that this one took up a bit more time. For the rest (or at least a lot of them) I hope to do quicker pieces. Also, I used a few different brushes on this one, and I kind of love the effect on the leather jacket.

As I said when I posted this on Facebook, I reserve the right to make myself as hunky as I want. That's just the artist's prerogative.
