After I started my Jane painting ([link]) I decided I should do a companion piece of Tarzan. I have often said that skin and hair are much harder to paint than clothes, and then here I sat painting a character that's almost completely skin and hair. o.O I could probably have spent forever working on this one, but I decided to be satisfied and call it done, even though there are still some issues with it (not least of which are some proportion/perspective problems with the original sketch, but ah well). I still like it overall, it has a nice feeling and movement to it. Tarzan is such a dude.

There really is a nice movement and flow in this composition. You can feel the weight of the figure and the tension in the vine. Very nicely done!
